Heya tribe

So what do you get from a personal trainer for your money and what is good value?

So some people believe that a Personal Trainer is an expense they cannot afford and only for the rich.  Well it's all relative, because if your health, hapiness and body image are important you will find a way.

What's more important? A flat telly or a flat belly lol.

I am an ex Army physical training instructor, athlete and personal trainer and if i wanted to be at my fittest i would definitely pay some one to help me.  Even i could use some help with motivation to get into the best shape.

This is what lots of Personal trainers do:

  • Stand for one hour next to clients counting repetitions
  • Pat them on the back and say well done
  • Give a basic calorie restrictive diet
Glenn Hill offers something a little different:
  • Learns his clients life and helps understand the route of any issue.
  • Designs a stress relief plan because stress is the main issue.
  • Create and monitor a nutrition plan based around carb cycling and detoxification by elimination.
  • Training plan based around conjugated training, often used by professional sports team.  Resistence training, Plyometrics, Interval training and metabolic training.
  • Goal setting using SMART goals.  Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time based.
  • Free recipe book.
  • Free ebooks including metabolism boosting, alcohol and weight loss, Motivation for weight loss.
  • Online mini workout library with loads of workouts, top tips and promotional videos.
  • Inclusive/Free Gym membership as part of the PT.
  • BodyMap assessments when required it can reduce pain, improve power and flexibility within 10 minutes.  This stuff is amazing cutting edge brain science stuff and nobody else is doing it around here.
  • Teach you a new hobby which can change your habits and keep you fit forever.  Mountain biking, Canoeing, Kayaking, Climbing, Skiing, Snowboard Mountaineering etc.
  • Email or web blogs passing on lots of my knowledge into easily understandle jargon-less bits to help my tribe stay in great shape.
  • Over a 100 mini 10 minute tabata style workouts that are time proven amazing fitness sessions.
  • Free access to all of my amazing classes: Including Trainhard tabata, Army Circuit and Metarun.  In my opinion the best selection of wieght loss classes with County Durham.
  • 18 years of fitness experience to call upon to advise and empathise with you issues.
  • A depth of knowledge of your problems as i specialise in female PT and i work and own an all Ladies Gym.
  • A lot of this may seem like mumbo jumbo, but it's a lot of work in the back ground to ensure i provide only the best service of anyone in the North East.
I hope you now agree that i offer more than any other personal trainer you have heard of or about.

Glenn(the go to guy) Hill

taking acid for weight loss newcastle

taking acid for weight loss Newcastle

You must be thinking Glenn has finally gone mad, not just yet.  This is actually about having less acid to help with weight loss, not the acid tabs you may be thinking about it's actually the acid i your food.

Think of your body as a test tube, bare with me on this, so your body is a test tube.

When it is highly acidic germs multiply, cancers grow, cells degenerate, oxygen levels drop leaving us tired and fatigued causing mould, parasites and bad bacteria to grow causing poor health.

If your body is constantly acidic functions like muscle growth or weight loss simply don't occur or work.  Eventually this poor health in our test tube will kill us early, say 20-40 years earlier than we would have hoped.  More importantly we will go through our lives feeling tired, fatigued and plagued by illness.

PROOF

Nobel prize winner Dr Alexis Carrel did a study keeping a chicken's heart cells alive for as long as possible, they did this for 28 years which is much longer than the chickens life.  How on earth did they do this/: they kept the cells in saline solution at a perfect PH balance and changed the solution daily to remove any new toxins.  They cells simply did not die, they had to cancel the experiment as they had achieved their goal.

Concluding that your cells are immortal, its just the fluid or external factors that cause degeneration.

So knowing that we should be able to live for ever, why don't we?  Our crappy lifestyles and poor habits and food.  We can certainly help our selves live longer, fitter and healthier by eating and drinking less acidic things....

below is a little list to give you an idea of what is acidic, neutral and alkaline.
acid
fizzy drinks
carbonated water
energy drinks
coffee
beer
pasta
wine
vinegar
beef
white bread
Neutral
Water
Alkaline
Most fresh fruit
Green tea
green beans
carrots
lemons
cabbage
cauliflower

SOOOOO

Because we obviously can't cut out beef, beer and the odd coffee it is essential that you eat plenty of veg and fruit otherwise you will simply be slowly killing yourself.
For my members and clients who say they hate veg, fruit and can't drink greens drinks, well that's up to you but it's clear that you will be having a shorter, unhealthier and less fun life.

what's the best way to lose weight-newcastle

what's the best way to lose weight-newcastle

I have been involved in fitness coaching, training now for 18 years on and off.

And i agree weight loss isn't always simple, in fact for some people even following a great training and nutrition plan it's still almost impossible.

Some of this reason has to be too many past diets, constantly losing muscle and messing with your hormones has changed your metabolic age to that of a 95% year old.

If that above statement sounds mental, i have seen it: i bet you are wondering what your metabolic age is?

Certainly losing muscle and yoyo dieting pushes your metabolic age up (the older your metabolic age the slower metabolism-less calories you use while relaxing and moving)

NEVER LOSE MUSCLE FOR WEIGHT LOSS

There is another key thing that could be holding you back, your toxic load.  I talk about this a lot for good reason: we are all bombarded with toxins, food, drink, cosmetics, air and self imposed stresses.

Your liver cleans these toxins, however our livers simply haven't developed enough to cope with the constant toxic load.  Once your liver is full it then stores toxins in your fat cells, it can even create more fat cells to store these toxins.

You simply can't ditch this fat whilst it contains toxins, so you need to conduct a detox (little MOT of your insides).

There are a number of methods, this is what i do for 2 weeks minimum.

  1. Cut out the booze
  2. Cut out stimulants such as coffee, this would include energy drinks only i don't touch them much these days
  3. Sweat more-exercise babay
  4. Lots of nice clean water, if you can filter it..even better
  5. Eat clean non processed meat, fish, veg, salad
  6. detox drink, i use "lean greens"it has a lot of active ingredients that act like magnets going through your system ie.spirulina, chlorella and grasses.  It also has your full greens quota for the day..boom
  7. If You are skint you could prob find all the products elsewhere, not sure it would be as good.
  8. Maybe have a green tea to replace your coffees.
  9. fresh air during exercise perhaps

Pretty simple really, it's essential my tribe.

Look at it this way, our body has developed as being a hunter gatherer for 10.000 generations(eating clean) and then being getting poisoned for 10 generations with the advent of agricultural methods.  Your body simple hasn't developed enough to cope properly.

It's the same with stress and threat that's why our bodies often don't work as well as they should, come and see me about bodymap.

If you want info on lean greens click the link below, if you don't like veg you should be drinking this stuff.

THE EXCUSE I HAVENT GOT TIME FOR FITNESS IS RUBBISH

**THE EXCUSE I HAVENT GOT TIME IS RUBBISH**

Personal trainer glenn hill
As a Fitness type dealing with folks excuses on a day to day so i have looked into how much time we spend doing stuff as an average each month...keep reading it gets interesting.

So monthly on average we do :   you can guess which one fails at the bottom, keep reading

420 hours a month sat down, is it any wonder our bums are fat and cusioned...we obviously need it.

135 hours a month at work....go the workers.

120 hours a month watching TV, obviously sat down building our big bums.

43 hours a month on the internet-on our behinds

40 hours a month driving, again on our bums.  eating garage junk food most probs..."Dam little Chef" lol.

6.9 hours a month on Flakebook bigging our-selfs up and telling everyone how hard our PT session was.(good effort)

3.2 hours a month on fitness - 50 minutes a week on fitness the one thing that provides the energy for all the other activities in our day.  The one thing that helps make you look good naked and helps you live longer and healthier for your kids.
These are just the averages, your times will be different, some better-some worse

I think i am relatively fit because:
"I spend more time doing exercise than i do watching tv"
"I spend more time at work than watching tv"
"I spend much more time moving than watching tv"

"So if you are unhappy with the way you look and you spend more time watching tv than you do on exercise - then it's you to blame"

However even 50 minutes a week doing the right exercise can have a huge effect, think about it.

1 x 50 minute session, one period in afterburn
2 or 3 metafits great afterburn and effect
5 x trainhard tabatas, because its 5 x in the afterburn it must be the best effect of all three (no arguments)

five times in the afterburn or EPOC is better than three or one
