taking acid for weight loss newcastle

taking acid for weight loss Newcastle

You must be thinking Glenn has finally gone mad, not just yet.  This is actually about having less acid to help with weight loss, not the acid tabs you may be thinking about it's actually the acid i your food.

Think of your body as a test tube, bare with me on this, so your body is a test tube.

When it is highly acidic germs multiply, cancers grow, cells degenerate, oxygen levels drop leaving us tired and fatigued causing mould, parasites and bad bacteria to grow causing poor health.

If your body is constantly acidic functions like muscle growth or weight loss simply don't occur or work.  Eventually this poor health in our test tube will kill us early, say 20-40 years earlier than we would have hoped.  More importantly we will go through our lives feeling tired, fatigued and plagued by illness.

PROOF

Nobel prize winner Dr Alexis Carrel did a study keeping a chicken's heart cells alive for as long as possible, they did this for 28 years which is much longer than the chickens life.  How on earth did they do this/: they kept the cells in saline solution at a perfect PH balance and changed the solution daily to remove any new toxins.  They cells simply did not die, they had to cancel the experiment as they had achieved their goal.

Concluding that your cells are immortal, its just the fluid or external factors that cause degeneration.

So knowing that we should be able to live for ever, why don't we?  Our crappy lifestyles and poor habits and food.  We can certainly help our selves live longer, fitter and healthier by eating and drinking less acidic things....

below is a little list to give you an idea of what is acidic, neutral and alkaline.
acid
fizzy drinks
carbonated water
energy drinks
coffee
beer
pasta
wine
vinegar
beef
white bread
Neutral
Water
Alkaline
Most fresh fruit
Green tea
green beans
carrots
lemons
cabbage
cauliflower

SOOOOO

Because we obviously can't cut out beef, beer and the odd coffee it is essential that you eat plenty of veg and fruit otherwise you will simply be slowly killing yourself.
For my members and clients who say they hate veg, fruit and can't drink greens drinks, well that's up to you but it's clear that you will be having a shorter, unhealthier and less fun life.

what's the best way to lose weight-newcastle

what's the best way to lose weight-newcastle

I have been involved in fitness coaching, training now for 18 years on and off.

And i agree weight loss isn't always simple, in fact for some people even following a great training and nutrition plan it's still almost impossible.

Some of this reason has to be too many past diets, constantly losing muscle and messing with your hormones has changed your metabolic age to that of a 95% year old.

If that above statement sounds mental, i have seen it: i bet you are wondering what your metabolic age is?

Certainly losing muscle and yoyo dieting pushes your metabolic age up (the older your metabolic age the slower metabolism-less calories you use while relaxing and moving)

NEVER LOSE MUSCLE FOR WEIGHT LOSS

There is another key thing that could be holding you back, your toxic load.  I talk about this a lot for good reason: we are all bombarded with toxins, food, drink, cosmetics, air and self imposed stresses.

Your liver cleans these toxins, however our livers simply haven't developed enough to cope with the constant toxic load.  Once your liver is full it then stores toxins in your fat cells, it can even create more fat cells to store these toxins.

You simply can't ditch this fat whilst it contains toxins, so you need to conduct a detox (little MOT of your insides).

There are a number of methods, this is what i do for 2 weeks minimum.

  1. Cut out the booze
  2. Cut out stimulants such as coffee, this would include energy drinks only i don't touch them much these days
  3. Sweat more-exercise babay
  4. Lots of nice clean water, if you can filter it..even better
  5. Eat clean non processed meat, fish, veg, salad
  6. detox drink, i use "lean greens"it has a lot of active ingredients that act like magnets going through your system ie.spirulina, chlorella and grasses.  It also has your full greens quota for the day..boom
  7. If You are skint you could prob find all the products elsewhere, not sure it would be as good.
  8. Maybe have a green tea to replace your coffees.
  9. fresh air during exercise perhaps

Pretty simple really, it's essential my tribe.

Look at it this way, our body has developed as being a hunter gatherer for 10.000 generations(eating clean) and then being getting poisoned for 10 generations with the advent of agricultural methods.  Your body simple hasn't developed enough to cope properly.

It's the same with stress and threat that's why our bodies often don't work as well as they should, come and see me about bodymap.

If you want info on lean greens click the link below, if you don't like veg you should be drinking this stuff.

lose weight using tabata - newcastle personal trainer

lose weight using tabata - newcastle personal trainer

Ladies of Newcastle and North East

Tabata has been all over the news this new year as if it's a brand new phenomenon.  It's actually been around ages, Dr tabata's findings where published in 1996:

  • According to Dr Tabata's research, a mere four minutes of exercise performed at extreme intensity, four times a week, can improve your anaerobic capacity by 28 percent, and your VO2 max and maximal aerobic power by 15 percent in as little as six weeks
  • Study participants who performed an hour of steady cardiovascular exercise on a stationary bike five times a week only improved VO2 max by 10 percent, and their regimen had no effect on their anaerobic capacity after six weeks
So this is how i can help, i have designed a number of four minute workouts that you can do at home.  You must do them at your maximum effort to see the best results.

If you do three a day with a 5-6 hour interval it's even better as you spend much more time in the afterburn.

So three of these 4 minute online sessions a day for between 3 and 5 days and see amazing figure changing results.

Work on different body areas each day to keep the body guessing.

"PROVEN"
I run these tabatas as a 10 minute class in Chester le Street called "trainhard tabata" with excellent results.  I have a lady that only attends 2 x 10 minute class per week and her fitness is awesome.

Come along and try the 10 minute version monday-wednesday-thursdays in CLS, 01913874222

You can check them out on my youtube channel

Ladies at Leisure - Chester le Street

Average Joes Gym North East 01913874222
Average Joes Gym North East 01913874222

So the plot: This big monster of a gym "Globo Gym" tries to close down the little family run friendly Gym "Average Joes".  In the end they compete in a dodgeball competition to see who's gym wins.

It's a great film and unlike real life the little friendly family gym wins and puts Globo Gym out of business...awesome and hilarious.

Well Ladies at Leisure is that friendly little gym, where all of the staff know your name and are your friends.  Now as far as i know none of our ladies are pirates, however who knows what they get up to behind closed doors.

"If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a dodge-ball" we don't throw wrenches at our members either....could be a good motivator though.

What we are all about is education:

  • If you listen we will educate you into a better, fitter, healthier version of yourself.  If you are not interested, that's fine too.
  • Online mini tabata sessions
  • Fitness blog
  • Member events: record attempt army circuit, 24 hour charity bike ride, charity channel row, female tough mudder team, GNR 2014, tough mudder again,300 club, 100 day challenge, extreme fat loss challenge, charity triple metafit.
  • Reception fitness library
  • Weight lifting and body weight master classes
  • Nutrition seminars
  • Every member receives a program each time they plateau, weekly or monthly
  • We can tell you how many calories to eat, what and when to eat
  • Classes: metafit, metacamp, metarun, trainhard tabata the other ones other gyms have
So if you want to look at yourself in the mirror while doing slow cardio maybe Globo gym is for you....
"We are better than you and we know it"

If you want to get fitter, lose weight and gain muscle then Average Joes is for you...
"if you can dodge traffic you can dodge a ball"

If you want to be part of the LaL family or my tribe just pop down and check us out, unlike Globo gym you can train in our gym to see if you like it before you sign away your life.

We have pay as you go: daily, monthly, 3 monthly, 6 monthly etc.

Any similarity between Globo gym and Bannantynes is purely coincidental: "we are better than you and we know it" lol.

Ladies at Leisure is similar to average joes in the fact that our members are our family/tribe/clan and we care about them.

If you haven't been to LaL since it has been taken over by ex Soldier Glenn pop down and check it out.

"However our members are far from average, the fittest ladies in the area....boom.  We have ladies over 50 years of age who can smash the Army fitness standards and achieve the maximum score (the 300 club).  This can't happen by the way by doing endless slow cardio!!

Fittest sexiest ladies in the North East-300 club

Fittest sexiest ladies in the North East-300 club

Ladies at leisure members (fittest chicks in the NE) are now getting assessed on their fitness Army style!!!!

The 300 club, what on earth is it all about then? So it's a club reserved for ladies and gents that manage to get and keep themselves fitter than the rest.

Previously used by the British Army to reward the fittest soldiers, during the twice annual fitness test you need to achieve a high score on each of the three tests.

  1. As many press ups as you can complete within 2 minutes
  2. As many sit ups as you can complete within 2 minutes
  3. Running 1.5 miles as fast as possible
The test results are relatively gender and age fair, for example the scores take into consideration gender and age.

A sub 30 male has the toughest ask and to get into the 300 club needs:

72 press ups
77 sit ups
1.5 miles under 8.15

The ladies at leisure girls will soon be smashing this Army assessment.

Come and have a go if you think your fit enough

National chip week is ridiculous and should be banned

National chip week is ridiculous and should be banned

Well I almost choked today when i heard it was national chip week, i realise we have an affinity with potatoes which have been a staple diet in the UK for decades and that they probably helped us through the great war.  However they are not one of our best sources of nutrients or energy.

Of all of our vegetables you could argue that the humble potato is the one you should eat less of, you see its a dense vegetable with a lot of calories which are all absorbed.  Unlike cauliflower, broccoli etc which are fibrous carbs which per weight have much less calories than potato.

The other issue is generally chips are deep fried, or fried using one of the less healthy fats and normally covered in salt and vinegar.

Chips are often and normally eaten with the other blacklisted foods such as ready made meals, burgers, pies, monster mixed grills and deep fried mars bars etc........well you get the idea.

If you had a small amount of chips oven cooked with broccoli and other steamed veg with a chicken breast then it wouldn't be too bad, however that's just not how it goes.

NOT PART OF THE SOLUTION

So last time i checked the UK was the second most obese country in the world, the North East the second most obese area in Europe, North east is runner up in UK for child-hood obesity and diabetes and County Durham and Easington in particular was one of the most unhealthy places to live in Europe.

And we promote chip week and how awesome chips are all over the North Easts own "Real Radio" - "mmm good move.

Atleast at Ladies at Leisure you get the truth

So if i was in charge (god forbid) i would have holidays and weeks listed below:

  1. National Breakfast week, missing breakfast or leaving it too late is a huge factor when it comes to keeping fat on.  If you don't believe me look up "sumo wrestlers diet"
  2.  National organic food day, all of the non organic food and drink is literally filling us up daily with toxins which in turn make us dumber (i can't afford to get much dumber), fatter, unhealthier.
  3. Diets are bad day, this one will get me some flack from all of the diet people, MLM groups etc.  Diets (all) have been proven over years of studies that over 90% of people eventually end up fatter with a slower metabolism.  The studies where long term studies in America with all.  You diet - You lose weight (up to 50% of which is muscle) because you now have a slower metabolism you get fat again.  You diet again - You lose weight(up to 50% is muscle) even slower metabolism you get fat again.  AVOID A DIET.
  4. Food truth week, all of the big food companies have to tell the truth all week.  Cereals don't help you lose weight, fat free products in the supermarkets should be avoided, diet on the packaging generally means its full of sugar or salt, Fat free doesn't really mean fat free, margarine's are almost as bad as spreading melted plastic onto your toast.

Great North Run 2014-chester le street

Heya my tribe

Who has got the gusto, benevolence and the motivation to run the G,N,R this year for St Cuthbert's with LaL Gym.
***Great North Run 2014-Ladies at Leisure team***
So this year ladies at leisure are putting a team in for the Great North Run on behalf of our favourite local charity "St Cuthberts Hospice who provide care for the terminally ill"

We have been given 6 confirmed places, glenn will running training for the event for the team if needed and taking part.

Which leaves 5 places, as usual with helping charities you will pay for the entrance fee yourself and have a minimum to collect for the charity, i think it's around £320.

You will have plenty of time to collect, so the sponsorship should'nt be an issue.
So if you would like to have a place and collect some sponsorship wonga, drop us a line.
We can only take 5 ladies, we would like to have a mixture of ladies who will work hard to collect as much cash as possible.
It's not about us-it's about the charity-so "who's with us?"
This is our 4th charity event from ladies at leisure within 12 months, last time we had problems getting monies in and very little effort in fundraising by some, this time we need hard charity workers for this great cause.

Cosmetics can make you fat - North East Ladies

Cosmetics can make you fat - North East Ladies

Hey my tribe

This is an interesting one, we already know that we ingest lots of pesticides, chemicals, heavy metals and hormones from the food we eat.

These chemicals are then stored in your fat, also more fat cells are produced to house these toxins...basically losing weight or getting fitter can sometimes be impossible due to the toxicity of your body.

Did you also know ladies you will be paying for vanity too, you absorb up to 60% of the substances applied to your skin.

Some of these "arguably " are needed for moisture etc.

Lots of cosmetics are not PH neutral and again are filling your adipose tissue (fat) with toxins, the average women absorbs 4lb 6oz of cosmetics each year "4lb or 2 bags of sugar in weight of cosmetics absorbed"

SO...again if your fat is just storing fat, you can't burn fat...simples.

So this again is telling us for our health we need to detox, more sun, more sweating, more fresh air, less food toxins-organic, alcohol and coffee breaks, detox tea, chlorella, spirulina etc.

It's a big deal, if you have never detoxed then it's definitely time now.

THE EXCUSE I HAVENT GOT TIME FOR FITNESS IS RUBBISH

**THE EXCUSE I HAVENT GOT TIME IS RUBBISH**

Personal trainer glenn hill
As a Fitness type dealing with folks excuses on a day to day so i have looked into how much time we spend doing stuff as an average each month...keep reading it gets interesting.

So monthly on average we do :   you can guess which one fails at the bottom, keep reading

420 hours a month sat down, is it any wonder our bums are fat and cusioned...we obviously need it.

135 hours a month at work....go the workers.

120 hours a month watching TV, obviously sat down building our big bums.

43 hours a month on the internet-on our behinds

40 hours a month driving, again on our bums.  eating garage junk food most probs..."Dam little Chef" lol.

6.9 hours a month on Flakebook bigging our-selfs up and telling everyone how hard our PT session was.(good effort)

3.2 hours a month on fitness - 50 minutes a week on fitness the one thing that provides the energy for all the other activities in our day.  The one thing that helps make you look good naked and helps you live longer and healthier for your kids.
These are just the averages, your times will be different, some better-some worse

I think i am relatively fit because:
"I spend more time doing exercise than i do watching tv"
"I spend more time at work than watching tv"
"I spend much more time moving than watching tv"

"So if you are unhappy with the way you look and you spend more time watching tv than you do on exercise - then it's you to blame"

However even 50 minutes a week doing the right exercise can have a huge effect, think about it.

1 x 50 minute session, one period in afterburn
2 or 3 metafits great afterburn and effect
5 x trainhard tabatas, because its 5 x in the afterburn it must be the best effect of all three (no arguments)

five times in the afterburn or EPOC is better than three or one

toxic stress-fat loss Newcastle

Is toxic stress making you fat, Newcastle

So there are toxins and chemicals everywhere in what you eat, drink, spray on, breath and toxins you create due to your own mental stress.

Why is this important?
Your liver cleans toxins (detoxification) from your body and once the liver becomes saturated it has to store those toxins somewhere until it can deal with them.

Can you guess where they are stored??? in your fat, that's where.

So if you are full of toxins your body will store and hold onto more fat until you get rid of toxins...

"You wont be losing fat until you detox"
toxic stress fat loss sunderland
toxic stress fat loss sunderland
Toxins
We can help detox our liver and fat by taking things like chlorella - chlorella acts like a magnet going through the body taking out heavy metals, spirulina takes away metals and radiation.  Also if you can try and eat as much organic food as possible, i know it's difficult and expensive but little things do help

Mental stress
Get more sleep and don't harbour any anger try and be happy, if negative thoughts get into your head about other people or yourself just get rid of them.  Only one life live it happy and don't be a hater, there are loads of studies suggesting that if you are a hater you won't live as long "be happy".
Have time for yourself, before meals, before bed and every day, maybe read before bed which helps you sleep too.
"Breath" deep belly breathing is the quickest de-stress method try it out.

Physical stress
Exercise is great for us, however it puts a stress on your body releasing the stress hormone cortisol - so too much long slow boring cardio or too much exercise can be sabotaging your body too, ensure you have some rest and use the most efficient exercise (weights and intervals).

Pollution
Hey it's a tough one, try and spend as much time in the countryside as you can, if you live in a big city and spend all of your holidays in the big city you will be constantly ingesting and absorbing toxins - your choice.

Water
They say the best water for us is reverse osmosis filtered water, then normal filtered water, then bottled water and tap water is generally the worst for us.  However some tap water is better than others in certain areas.

Lack of sunshine
Lots of people are affected by lack of sun, seasonal affected disorder syndrome(SADS) or something like that.  They sit in front of infrared lamps to improve their health and make them feel happier.  Actually every one is affected by lack of sun as we need the sun for good health and making vitamin D, haven't you noticed in a summer morning you get outside and feel great.
Basically getting outside more is a key factor in remaining healthy and living longer.

In conclusion

Stress is the biggest factor stopping us losing weight and feeling great.  Mental stress puts our body into its sympathetic nervous system, which is really unhealthy and stops key nutrients being absorbed.  Use some of my tips above: try and always think positively about everyone, go to bed earlier, have some time for yourself every day, clean water and foods and spend some more time outside and in the countryside.

So actually this conclusion is actually my ideal life? more time in the outside eating healthy and being a good person, You will live a healthier happier, skinnier longer life.

Obviously if you die in a freak combine harvester accident it's not my fault.

build the muscle and burn the fat - Newcastle

Build the muscle and burn the fat - Newcastle

Bespoke personal training for professional ladies above 30 years of age:

Personal trainer Glenn Hill

I have tried a number of training methods over the years and most of them have worked for the desired goals i was after.  I was running years ago pretty competitively, so i would run all the time endurance and speed and that seemed to work.  When i wanted to take on one of the World's longest downhill races (MEGAVALANCHE), i spent hours riding my mountain bike putting in the miles and practising technique.  I wanted to pass P Company (Army para selection course), so i ran the hills every day and spent time with a pack on my back.

So all of my training was different and worked well for my goals, so much so i was champion para at the age of 35
