Whats your Weight Loss Word- County Durham

Whats your Weight Loss Word- County Durham

I am talking about positive self talk and how if we talk to ourselves we can motivate ourselves into losing weight or exercising better.
I believe we are the sum total of what we are told and what we say to ourselves, the reason that I believe this is, I noticed the drastic change in new recruits during a 11 week Basic Army Training.  They would arrive not believing in themselves, being shy and not confident and 12 weeks later absolutely believing in themselves and honestly thinking that they are bullet proof.
The instructor will tell the recruits that they are the best of the best and the best Soldiers in the world.  Just this reason alone proves that we are susceptible to believing what we are told, and we totally believe in what we tell ourselves it we say it enough.
If we don’t believe ourselves or what we say to ourselves who else will we believe?
Positive self talk or telling yourself how great you are is the perfect way of improving your performance and how you feel.  When I was a Soldier undertaking tough physical courses like the Army diving and Para course I often swore at myself and gave myself a hard time which really helped me achieve great results.
Things like: “come on Glenn – man up and sort your shit out”
I would like you to think about your descriptive word explaining of how last year went for you… In terms of training and exercise.?
This could be lazy, tired, turgid or any other negative word.
To improve your health in 2016 think of a word that you would like to describe your activity in 2016… This could be constant, aggressive, energised, proactive, motivated, machine, beast, Robust, fit, determined, committed, sort yourself, weight loss, succeed or it could just be a word that truly motivates you every time you hear it.
“what’s your fitness word”
Action step now:
  1. write that word down
  2. put that word on every page of your diary
  3. put that word on your phone
  4. put that word on your fridge
  5. say that word all of the time, especially when you do well
  6. put a sticker with the word on your steering wheel or work station
  7. hey even get a tatoo
  8. believe in the word and aspire to live up to that word every day
If you follow all these action points and stick with it genuinely you will honestly start believing your own hype and have a much better 2016.
what’s the worse thing that can happen?
Just go with it, and make your new word, description of how you train or live a really positive one.  Strangers will start looking at you and thinking that word…Awesome (that’s a favourite of mine).
Please E-mail, Text or grab me in Banntynes Riverside and let me know about your word.
